Arrive at Entebbe International Airport (before 1400hrs). Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. We hope your flight is scheduled to arrive at Entebbe Airport before 14:00. When you arrive, you will be greeted by an English-speaking Professional Tour Driver-guide who will welcome you to the Pearl of Africa. Following that, you will be driven to Lake Mburo National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you will arrive in Mburo between early afternoon and late evening. #Optional (at an additional cost): If you arrive early enough and are interested, you can go on a breathtaking night game drive. (Eagles' Nest-Budget Level) | Meals: Dinner | Travel time:Approx. 4 hours.
Morning game drive followed by transfer to Bwindi's accommodation. Breakfast should be consumed as soon as possible, followed by an exciting morning game drive in the park. Expect to see large herds of eland antelope, zebras, topis, impalas, buffaloes, and other savannah animals. Alternatively, you can opt for an armed ranger-guided morning bush/park walk (at an additional cost of USD 30 per person). You will return to your accommodation, check out, and then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a large mountain gorilla habitat in Uganda (home to over 300 mountain gorillas - roughly half of the world's population), with several habituated groups that can be trekked. You will do less on arrival because you have a long day ahead of you. Accommodation: (Broadbill Forest Camp-Budget Level) | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Drive time: Approx. 4-5 hours.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest, followed by a relaxing trip to Lake Bunyonyi. After breakfast, proceed to the rangers' post. During the trek, you will be briefed (by a ranger guide) on the dos and don'ts. Following that, you will enter the Bwindi Forest to begin your adventure. This rain forest is breathtakingly beautiful! The area has a dramatic steeply forested landscape and is extremely dense, but it is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails that allow tourists access. The time and terrain vary according to the movements of these great primates. You will be allowed an hour in the presence of a gorilla group once you have located one. Spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is an unforgettable experience. Return to your lodging, check out, and take a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by lush, green-terraced hills that rise to a height of (2,200 - 2,478m), but it's the 29 islands of varying shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could spend all day admiring them. (Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort-Budget Level) | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Drive Time: Approx. 2-3 hours
Depart Bunyonyi and return to Entebbe in time for your flight out (18:00 onward). You will enjoy a leisurely breakfast with a spectacular view of the Bunyonyi small islands right in front of you. After that, you'll hit the road to return to Entebbe (arriving late afternoon/evening) for your flight out. Thank you for deciding to travel with us (Home to Africa). #Optional (at an additional cost): If you have a late night flight, you might want to consider a canoe trip on Bunyonyi before heading to Entebbe. Accommodation: Available upon request | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch | Driving Time: Approximately 8 hours
