8 Days Trip Maasai Mara with Big 5 Sightings

Day 1

Flight to Nairobi (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport) & overnight at pre-booked accommodation.
Upon arrival at Kenya's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted by a Home to Africa Kenya representative who will welcome you to Kenya and transfer you to your booked accommodation. You will have dinner and rest for the night. Optional (additional cost): If you arrive early and are interested, you can choose to visit. Giraffe Centre, David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, Masai Market, Karen Blixen Museum, Kenya National Museum and more.

Day 2

Travel to the Masai Mara Game Reserve for game viewing.

After breakfast, head to Masai Mara National Reserve. This reserve is one of the most famous reserves in all of Africa and is known worldwide for its extraordinary wildlife. On the vast plains of the Mara, visitors can see lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and countless other species in their natural habitat. Arrive at your accommodation in the afternoon for check-in and enjoy lunch. Then in the afternoon (evening) you can go to the game. Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Explore Masai Mara - Relax after morning and afternoon games.
Have breakfast and explore Masai Mara. Morning and afternoon game drives look for Africa's Big 5 and other abundant wildlife in Kenya's vast game reserves. On clear days, the Masai Mara National Reserve offers spectacular orange sunsets worth capturing on camera. Then return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Connect to Naivasha and explore Lake Naivasha in the afternoon (evening).

After breakfast proceed to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is a Kenyan freshwater lake located on the outskirts of the city of Naivasha in Nakuru County, northwest of Nairobi. Lake Naivasha is not a national park, but the beautiful lake has become a Kenyan safari staple. With its tranquil surroundings and variety of activities, Lake Naivasha is a great place to visit. Arrive in time to continue and explore Lake Naivasha

Arrive in time to explore Lake Naivasha on a boat cruise. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Explore Hell's Gate National Park - Spend a full day observing wildlife and then relaxing. Have breakfast and explore Hell's Gate National Park. Hell's Gate in Naivasha, Kenya is home to a wide variety of wildlife, plants and over 100 species of birds. This was thought to be the outlet of a prehistoric freshwater lake that stretched from here to Nakuru. The stunning landscape of towering cliffs, canyons, rock towers, volcanoes and geothermal plumes make this one of Africa's most atmospheric parks. Spend most of the day exploring this park. Depending on your interests, activities such as walking safaris, game drives, hiking/canyoning, rock climbing, abseiling, cycling (biking), and hot spring tours are included.

Note: Some activities may require an additional fee. Then return to the lodge to relax, have dinner, and overnight.

Day 6

Travel to Amboseli National Park for afternoon and evening game viewing.

After breakfast drive to Amboseli National Park. Home to Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya's most popular parks he. It's one of the best places in Africa to see large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here, from the dry beds of Lake Amboseli to sulfur springs, savannahs and forested wetlands. There is also a Maasai community nearby, allowing visitors to visit and experience authentic culture. Arrive and take a short break, then join the spectator in the afternoon (evening). Return for dinner and overnight.

Day 7

Explore Amboseli National Park - Relax at the lodge after a day of games.

Have breakfast and explore Amboseli National Park. On your game drive, keep an eye out for wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, hyenas, and ostriches. Depending on your interests, you can spend the afternoon watching a game or visiting a Maasai community (local charges apply). Then return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 8

Depart Amboseli and return to Nairobi (Jomo Kenyatta Airport) for your flight.
