Day 1

Early arrival at Kigali Airport and transfer to Akagera NP. We hope your flight is scheduled for an early landing (before 4pm). Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by your assigned professional English-speaking driver and tour guide and transferred to your accommodation in/near Akagera National Park. The relatively warm, low-lying Akagera National Park includes savannas, acacia forests, dense forests, wetlands and 12 lakes. Akagera is a true conservation success story in Rwanda. With families of South African lions establishing and breeding successfully and the reintroduction of the eastern black rhinoceros, the park boasts of the Big 5 sightings. You arrive, check into your accommodation and relax. Optional (additional cost): If interested and time permits, you can embark on a spectacular night game drive. Day 2

Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. After breakfast, depart for a morning game drive. Keep an eye out for Akagera residents, including: Lions, rhinos, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, impalas, topis (known as tseseve in southern Africa), bushbucks and more. Return to your accommodation for lunch and embark on a boat safari on Lake Ihema in the afternoon. On a boat safari, you'll see hordes of hippos and crocodiles. Day 3

Depart Akagera and drive to your accommodation in Volcanoes NP (nearby). Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation before heading to Volcanoes National Park. Located in northwestern Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park borders Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. Arrive at your accommodation, check-in and relax before a busy day. Then enjoy dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation: Hotel La Palme | Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner | Driving time: Approximately 5-6 hours.

Day 4

Leave Nyungwe Forest National Park and transfer to your accommodation in Volcano National Park (nearby). Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your accommodation before heading to Volcanoes National Park. Located in northwestern Rwanda, Volcanoes National Park borders Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. Arrive at your accommodation, check-in and relax before a busy day. Then enjoy dinner and overnight stay. Day 5

After the Golden Monkey Trek, travel to Bwindi (Uganda) via the Syanika Border. The Golden Monkey Trek takes place in Volcanoes National Park at the same time as the Gorilla Trek (7 AM). These rare monkeys are also listed as vulnerable species, and Volcanoes National Park now has two groups that are acclimatized and available for visitors to trek. The exercise begins with a brief briefing by the park rangers at the RDB office. Then, hike with golden monkeys through the rainforest of Volcanoes National Park. Return to the lodge, rest and have lunch. After lunch drive to Cyanika Border Post and across the border to the Bwindi Impenetrable NP – Uganda for gorilla trekking the next day. Day 6

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest and (optional) community meeting in the afternoon. Have breakfast and head to Rangers Post. You will be briefed (from your ranger guide) on what to do and what not to do during the trek. Then enter a gorilla sanctuary for adventure. The beauty of this rainforest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic, rugged forest scenery and is incredibly dense, but is intersected by numerous tourist-accessible wildlife trails. Terrain changes. Once you spot a group of gorillas, you can stay in front of them for an hour. The thrill of an hour observing these docile, endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to your accommodation for a break and lunch. Depending on your interests and time, you may progress to an optional community cultural experience. Otherwise relax after a busy day early. Day 7

Drive to Ishasha to find a tree-climbing lion and continue (north) Queen Elizabeth NP. Enjoy breakfast, then depart for the breathtaking views of the Ishasha area, famous for its tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70%, although they are sometimes difficult to spot (especially when they are out in the grasslands looking for prey). Hopefully you'll get a chance to spot them, the show will be spectacular! You will also be able to see other wildlife such as Ugandan pandas, Cape buffalo, elephants and wolves that have settled in this area. Then head to Queen Elizabeth NP (Northern) accommodation to relax, have dinner and then overnight. Where to stay: Pumba Safari Cottages | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Travel time: 4 to 5 hours.

Day 8

Join the morning drive and cruise on the Kazinga Canal. Get up early and have breakfast. Go hunting in the morning in the Kasenyi plains and look out for Cape buffalo, herds of elephants and big cats: lions, leopards (but hard to spot) and others. Return to the property to rest and have lunch. After lunch, you'll depart for a 2-hour boat ride on the Kazinga Canal that connects Lakes George and Edward. During the ride, you'll get to see wildlife including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others that will leave you spellbound. You will also see a variety of birds at the water's edge. Day 9

Morning game drive, head to Kibale National Park and continue the Bigodi Swamp tour. Get up early and have breakfast, then start driving the game early in the morning. Then continue to Kibale Forest National Park. You'll arrive at Kibale in time for lunch and a rest before starting the Bigodi Wetlands Tour. Bigodi Wetland Reserve is a fascinating area, located in the Magombe Swamp. The area has a diverse biodiversity, including several primates such as baboons, black and white baboons. Bigodi is also a paradise for ornithologists. Among the main bird species in the reserve is the great blue turaco. Afterwards, relax and spend the night at your pre-booked accommodation. Day 10

Depart Kibale Forest National Park for Murchison Falls National Park. Grab breakfast and travel to Murchison Falls National Park. Highlights of the park include the rapids of the Murchison River, the rolling plains of Uganda's largest national park, where you can see lions, giraffes, Akahate beasts, buffalo and elephants. Then you will surely be fascinated by the concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles here. For bird watchers, Murchison Falls is home to about 450 bird species, including gray parrots, pygmy kingfish and goliath herons. It's quite a long drive, but the scenery is incredible. Upon arrival in Murchison, check into your accommodation to relax, have dinner, and spend the night in anticipation of the next day's activities. Day 11

Murchison game drive and afternoon boat cruise to the base of the falls. After breakfast, embark on an early morning game drive through the rolling plains of Uganda's largest national park, looking for wildlife such as lions, leopards (hard to spot) and more. Bird watchers have plenty of birds to see on their drive. Return to your accommodation for a break and lunch. Optional: If interested, you can (alternatively) opt for a hot air balloon safari (on the ground) for an additional fee. After lunch, board a boat to head to the base of Murchison Falls. Other wildlife can also be seen here, including hippos, crocodiles and a few waterfowl. Continue hiking (if desired) to the top of the waterfall. The trek may be strenuous, but the thrill of reaching the summit is unforgettable. Skip it only if you need it. Return to your accommodation and spend the evening relaxing. Day 12

Depart Murchison Falls National Park for Kidepo Valley National Park. If you've ever thought of being alone in the wilderness, Kidepo is the perfect place to do it. Kidepo Valley NP is Uganda's most pristine and unexplored wildlife sanctuary. Experience what it means to be in the African jungle while you are here. In Kidepo Valley you can also catch a glimpse of Karamojong After breakfast at your accommodation, head to Kidepo. This will be a long drive, but the spectacular views along the way make the drive feel even shorter.You accomplish and do very little but check into your accommodation and relax. and enjoy dinner and a good night's sleep. Day 13

Morning Game Drive & (Optional) Cultural Experience of Karamojong Community. After breakfast, depart for animal viewing in Narus Valley, south of Kidepo. Narus is a sector of Kidepo with a mixture of savanna grasslands and acacia forests. It's also an area of ​​the park that has a permanent water source all year round, and most animals live in this part of the park.Watch out for large herds of buffalo, many zebra species, antelope species, and lions. . Return to the lodge for lunch and rest. Later (if interested) you can proceed to the (optional) Karamojong community for a cultural encounter. Spend a wonderful afternoon (evening) with the Karamojong people and learn more about their way of life and beliefs. . Day 14

His full-day trek in the Morungole Mountains, including meeting with the IK community. Wake up early for breakfast and head to Mount Morangole in the hills north of Karamoja. The higher you climb, the more breathtaking views you will see. Simply breathtaking landscapes stretch from the valley below to the eastern part of Kenya's Rift Valley to South Sudan. In Morungole you can meet Uganda's smallest tribe called the Ik. The Iku have always lived in what is now Kidepo Valley National Park, but they were forced out of their homes 50 years ago and now live on the ridge. A visit to IK offers a glimpse into some of Africa's most unique tribes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Kidepo Savannah Lodge | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 15

After morning game drive in the park, transfer to Kala Tunga Safari Camp. Have breakfast and enjoy a morning game drive to Kidepo sector (optional). Afterwards, return to your accommodation to rest and have lunch. After lunch, depart Kidepo and head to Kara Tunga Safari Camp (Molot). Have dinner there and overnight on the way to Sipi. Accommodation: Karatunga Safari Camp | Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner | Driving time: 4-5 hours.

Day 16

Explore Pian Upe Game Reserve and drive to Sipi (lodge reserved). Wake up early for breakfast, then continue your animal watching at the pristine Pian Upe Wildlife Sanctuary. Pian Upe is located between Mount Elgon NP and Kidepo Valley NP, established as a game reserve in the 1960s. The reserve is part of the Mount Elgon Conservation Area (MECA). In Pian Upe, keep an eye out for inhabitants such as ostriches, elands, zebras, giant kudus, savanna monitor lizards and the only surviving lone antelope in all of Uganda. Pian Upe is also the only place where you can see cheetahs during your Uganda safari. After watching the game and of course (packed) lunch, depart from Pian Upe to Sipi (lodge reserved). Day 17

Sipi Waterfall Hike, Afternoon Coffee Tour, Community Encounter. Have breakfast and explore the Sipi waterfalls. A hike (approximately 2.5 to 3 hours) will take you to explore the nearby Sipi Falls, which consists of three waterfalls. The scenery is breathtaking and makes for a great day out in Sipi. Meanwhile, the (afternoon) Coffee Tour takes you through the history of coffee from seed to cup and is an informative experience not to be missed. Relax. Day 18

Drive to Jinja, visit the source of the Nile and transfer to Entebbe Airport. After breakfast, drive to Jinja where the Nile begins its flow into the Mediterranean Sea. Visit the source of the Nile and drive to Entebbe Airport to catch your flight
