Nimule National Park




Nimule National Park, the most easily accessible of South Sudan’s national parks, was established under British rule in 1954 and spans 540km2 along the border with Uganda. It straddles the White Nile River, with wildlife freely moving back and forth. Visitors can see elephant herds while crossing the river by boat to Opekoloe Island, and then spot zebras, warthogs, baboons, and even the occasional leopard on foot.

Day 1

Arrival in Juba, South Sudan by air
Arrive in Juba, South Sudan’s capital, by plane. Upon arrival at the airport, obtain your visa, meet your guide, and transfer to the hotel Landmark.
The remainder of the day is free for relaxation and exploration of the Konyo-Konyo market.
PM Drive a little further north of Juba to see the presidential palace. Return to Juba to see Dr. John Garang’s mausoleum and the Jubek tomb.
Meals: Juba’s Landmark Hotel provides lodging.
Note- -If arriving on Sunday, drive 5 kilometers north of Juba to Atuot and enjoy the weekly wrestling and dancing by the Ayiab and Mundari tribes. -Most of the attractions mentioned above (the presidential palace, Dr. Jhon Garang’s mausoleum, and Jubek tomb) are not guaranteed to be visited due to tight security. They are currently closed.

Day 2

Juba-Nimule National Park 1 hour White Nile boat trip Visit Stonecutters Mountain
Drive to Nimule National Park in the south.
Drive through the northern part of the park with park scouts and guides to see the White Nile Waterfall.
Hipos boat trip in the afternoon.
Overnight in National Park lodging

Numule wildlife tracking
Overnight in National Park accommodation after a full day of wildlife tracking and observation
